After growing up in the Kansas City Area, I chose to go to the University of Kansas to pursue a degree in Business Administration. The beautiful campus can be seen from graduationa unique perspective in a couple of photos I took in 1992. In addition to being a solid academic school, KU has an exceptional Men's basketball tradition.

Upon graduation from KU with a B.S., I went to the University of Illinois to study human resource management at the Institute of Labor and Industrial Relations. After getting my Master's degree at the U of I, I returned to Kansas City to find employment (take a look at Kansas City's recently restored Union Station).

After a few years of mangement consulting at DeFrain Mayer, I underwent a career change to web design and development. I was employed at Primedia Business as a Web Production Manager through January of 2003.

In August of 2003, I came back to Champaign-Urbana to pursue a Master's degree in Library and Information Science at the University of Illinois. In addition to my studies at the U of I, I had a graduate assistantship in the reference area of the main library.
