Used a combination of electronic, print, and Internet resources, as well as referrals in order to help the patron efficiently find an accurate answer to his or her query.
  • Provided information literacy instruction to Library patrons with respect to the Library's online catalog, electronic indexes and print resources.
  • Maintained a professional public presence at the Information Desk, which serves as the Library's primary reference service point.
  • Performed in-depth research at the request of Reference librarians.
  • Assisted the interlibrary loan department by verifying citations and locating holdings for obscure materials.
  • Created, modified and updated portions of the Reference Library's Web site.
  • Trained other Graduate Reference Assistants on the use of Web design applications.

  • Served in the role of Site Administrator for the corporate intranet. Gathered technical and user requirements for custom applications, managed application development and delivery and maintained communications channels with internal clients to ensure that their business needs were met. Managed software upgrade and data migration project. Redesigned and reorganized intranet to enhance usability and aesthetics. Worked with senior members of Corporate Communications department to establish intranet policies and procedures and to define strategic direction.
    • Received CEO Award for redesigning and reorganizing the Primedia Business intranet.
  • Created technical and user documentation for web-based applications.
  • Managed the deployment and support of a trade show coverage application.
  • Created, launched, maintained, and provided ongoing support for several magazine and corporate Web sites for Primedia Business.
  • Managed the conversion of archival page layout content (hundreds of magazine issues) to a tagged ASCII format in order to populate a database of articles. Established relationships with and monitored the progress of two different conversion vendors for the conversion project.
  • Communicated with group publishers, publishers, editors, and production staff to implement new features and redesigns.
